When I read the alarming stories in the newspaper this morning about some banks being in trouble, I wandered how people will respond to that kind of news. I am not frightened, but I was startled.
I hope the Rays get back to their winning ways after the all-star break. (random, random, random)

One of my favorite scriptures was in my bible reading today Isaiah 26:3-4

4 Trust in the LORD forever,
for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.
Ruth got after me for picking on "Monday" (coffeewithsteve.com two days ago). She said, that is a day that the Lord has made so it is good. She is right again. I said to her that I trust the one who made it, but she wasn't extremely impressed. What a wonderful wife! I love her.
I love my children. I love my grandchildren. I even love my son-in-law.

I know the first sentence was written about me but I share the sentiments. I have to stop and thank God for placing me in an environment with people who understand commitment and live it. What great examples I am surrounded by. On the coffee...once I tried to make a coffee blended ice cream drink in my blender but I dumped in straight coffee grounds because I didn't know how to make it. I was so wired I started speaking foreign languages.
