Where to Stand

Isaiah 9:7...If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.' "

I was doing my bible reading or as I like to call it talking to my friends and counselors and Isaiah said these words "if you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all". If you do not have confidence in God then where will you place your confidence?

There are times when I feel lonely because I face challenges bigger than I am. Then I ask myself how big are the challenges that are smaller than me. Now there is a question. Most of things I am called upon to do in this life are really beyond my abilities and skill set. Why is that? Because another of my counselors reminds me that "we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers". Our challenges are not natural, they are supernatural. When I remember this I know that my confidence should only be in God.

Today I will remember that "the battle is not mine but the Lord's".

By the way, I don't want to wrestle against flesh and blood either!
