22Be merciful to those who doubt; 23snatch others from the fire and save them; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.
24To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.As I read these words this morning I was reminded that the life of faith that we live is truly a cooperation between us and the Spirit. The cooperation puts us in the place of responsibility for certain activities and then promises His power and provision for things which we cannot do.
What a great deal You do what you can and I will do what you never would have been able to do in the first place.
Build yourself up in your faith, keep yourself in God' s love, be merciful to those who are weak. These are things that we can do. We can be in the word to strengthen our faith, we can remember His love for us and we can discipline ourselves to show mercy to others.
What does He do? ..."keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—
25to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen."
Let me know if you get a better deal!
